Vocabulary

1. Antisocial (adj): /ˌæntɪˈsoʊʃəl/ Antisocial
Not interested in meeting other people.
Example: Kimberly is very antisocial; she doesn’t want to see her own family members.

2. Biased (adj): /ˈbaɪəst/ Parcial
Preferring one idea to another in a way that is unfair.
Example: The news channel presented a biased report for the democrats.

3. Blessed (adj): /blɛst/ Bendecido
Used for emphasizing that something makes you feel happy.
Example: Dorothy is blessed to have her grandparents alive.

4. Dismay (n): /dɪˈsmeɪ/ Desaliento
The feeling of being worried.
Example: Adrian is behaving with dismay after the car accident he caused.

5. Gambling (n): /ˈgæmbəlɪŋ/ Apuesta
An activity in which you risk money in the hope of winning.
