HOW TO WRITE A PARAGRAPH I

A paragraph is a group of sentences that are connected logically following and developing the same idea. A paragraph can be a group of 4 or 5 sentences together.

A topic sentence is the most important sentence in a paragraph. It helps to organize the paragraph by summarizing the information in the paragraph. In formal writing, the topic sentence is usually the first sentence in a paragraph.

Every topic sentence will have a topic and a controlling idea. This last one shows the direction the paragraph will take.
