Vocabulary

1. Bottleneck (n): /ˈbɒt(ə)lˌnek/ Cuello de botella
A specific problem in part of a process, that causes delays to the whole process.
Example: Check out the bottleneck in this avenue.

2. Carpool (n): /kɑː(r)puːl/ Coche compartido
A group of car owners who agree to travel together to a place so that only one car is used each time.
Example: We should keep this carpool going.

3. Crosswalk (n): /ˈkrɒsˌwɔːk/ Paso de peatón
To remove or cross out something.
Example: I'm waiting for you at the crosswalk near your house.

4. Fine (n): /faɪn/ Multa
A sum imposed as punishment for an offense.
Example: The driver had to pay a fine.

5. Get stuck (v): /ɡet ˈstʌk/ Atorarse
To be caught or held in a position so that you cannot move.
Example: The clown got stuck at the traffic jam.

6. Highway (n): /ˈhaɪweɪ/ Autopista
A wide road built for fast travel between towns and cities.
Example: This highway is one of the biggest in this country.
