Supporting sentences:
First, Canada has an excellent health care system. All Canadians have access to medical services at a reasonable price. Second, Canada has a high standard of education. Finally, Canada’s cities are clean and efficiently managed. Canadian cities have many parks and lots of space for people to live.
Concluding sentence:
As a result, Canada is a desirable place to live.
Note:
The concluding sentence always repeats the same idea of the topic sentence using different words.
“First, second” and “finally” are transitional words.

Read the paragraphs below and write a concluding sentence. It must be similar to the topic sentence.
1. Writing is not only a way to communicate; it is a tool for expressing your thoughts and exploring new ideas. Ever since I was young, I have kept a diary. I wrote my thoughts in my diary every day. Sometimes, I still like to write down my thoughts at the end of the day.
2. My nephews Joshua and Chris are like a ray of sunshine in my cloudy life. Every time I see them, they make me smile and feel there is always a reason to go on. Although they are much younger than me, I enjoy talking to them and spending time with them. I am happy they live near me and I am glad to see them growing up every day.
