Singular and Plural Verbs in adjective clauses.

Example:

a. I know the man who is sitting over there.
In this example, we use the verb in singular (is) because the noun ‘the man’ is in singular too.

b. I know the people who are sitting over there.
In this example, we use the verb in plural (are) because the noun ‘the people’ is in plural too.
