"Adverbs + adjectives"
When an adverb qualifies an adjective or past principle, it comes inmediatly before it.
Examples:

completely
empty. |

"Adverbs + verbs"
When an adverb qualifies a verb + object, we do not usually put the adverb between the verb and the object
Examples:

a. I like the backyard
very much. |

b. We
usually
harvest vegetables in summer. |
