Draft a rental document
It’s a legal document that sets out the terms of tenancy for an established
period of time. If the agreement is for about more than 30 days, it is a
lease agreement. The rental agreement can automatically renew itself.
If the landlord wants to change the terms, he should notice the renter
with written documents. Before the owner signs the agreement, he has
to make sure that the address of the residence of the specific room to be
rented is specified on the document. Also, if the owner chooses to take
a security deposit, he has to list the amount of rent and how often it will
be paid. If the renter pays late, the owner includes in the agreement what
type of late fee will be charged. If he allows his tenant to do work around
the house, such as moving the lawn, preparing meals, or babysitting
in lieu of paying some portion of the rent, he will have to specify this
information as well.
