GRAMMAR

First Conditional

After a reasonable possibility of condition, we use present or future actions. We are going to see four types.

Type 1:

a. If we rent a house, we will sign an agreement.
    If-clause (S. Present)               Main-clause (future)
b. If she rents a room, she will have to respect the rules.
      If-clause (S. Present)                Main-clause (future)

Note: We can use these sentences starting from the main-clause. In that case, don’t use comma (,).

Examples:

a. We will sign an agreement if we rent a house.
b. She will have to respect the rules if she rents a room.

Type 2:

    If-clause (P. Continuous)               Main-clause (future)

b. If she is studying Chinese, she will travel to Asia.
      If-clause (P. Continuous)                Main-clause (future)

Type 3:
