(imprúvin llor skíls)

Tamara is in a restaurant in England. She ordered her meal over 30 minutes ago, but it still hasn’t come. Listen and read.

Tamara:
Excuse me, I’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes and my meal still hasn’t come.
Waiter:
What did you order?
Tamara:
Steak and salad
Waiter:
Just one moment, I’ll go and see what the delay is.
Tamara:
OK, thanks.
(After 10 minutes)
Waiter:
Sorry for your waiting. Here’s your steak and salad.
Tamara:
Thanks. Sorry, but this knife is a little dirty. Could you bring me another one, please?
Waiter:
I’m sorry. Of course. I’ll do it immediately.
(After a moment)
Waiter:
Here it is, a new knife and fork.
Tamara:
Thanks. I’m afraid the music is too loud. Can you turn it down?
Waiter:
Yes, Miss. Is there anything else?
Tamara:
Actually, there is. I ordered my steak medium. This is well-done. I’d prefer another one, rather than this one.
