Example:

“Carefully” describes the way she drives her car.
b. The athlete celebrated his triumph enthusiastically.
“Enthusiastically” describes the way the athlete celebrated his triumph.
An adverb of manner is the result of an adjective + “–ly”.

Case 1: In
general, to make an adverb of manner, we just add
–ly at the end of an adjective.

Case 2:
When the adjective ends in –y, omit “y” and add
–ily

Irregular adverbs of manner:
They have the same form as the adjective of
manner.
