The stative verbs often describe states that last for some time and they aren´t used in present continuous.

Estos verbos se usan para describir momentos que duran poco tiempo y no se usan en presente continuo.
Ejemplo:
I need a pen for my test
(Yo NECESITO un lapicero para mi examen)

The five senses may be considered as stative verbs.
Examples:

Actively processing thoughts are considered as actions in progress. We use present progressive.
have - see - be - taste
Examples:

a. I am having a great lunch

b. They are seeing their friends tomorrow.

c. We are being very worried.

d. Look! Mary is tasting the soup.
